Tune in For a Discussion on ‘Dust’ and 9/11’s Toxic Legacy…

"Dust: The Lingering Legacy of 9/11" explores the long-term effects of the EPA's false claims that the air in lower Manhattan was safe after 9/11.

WBAI, Pacifica Radio in New York City, presents a radio screening of Bridget Gormley's award-winning film, "Dust: The Lingering Legacy of 9/11” on September 8, from 1 to 3 p.m.  The program will also be rebroadcast on September 11, from 9 to 11 a.m.

“Dust” explores the long-term effects of the EPA's false claims that the air in lower Manhattan was safe after 9/11. It reveals the devastating health consequences for first responders and thousands of civilians, including 19,000 school children.

Sunday’s radio program will include excerpts from the film and a discussion with a panel of women, including:

  • Retired FDNY Captain Brenda Berkman.

  • Firefighter Regina Wilson, President of the Vulcan Society.

  • Retired FDNY EMT and New York City Organization of Public Service Retirees President Marianne Pizzitola.

  • Filmmaker Bridget Gormley.

  • Lila Nordstrom, author of "Some Kids Left Behind" and former student at Stuyvesant High School, near Ground Zero.

  • Anne Marie Principe, 9/11 survivor, small business owner, Affinity Health Card Advocates.
